Break Through! plus music video research

Ideas sorted!
From my music video research, where i discovered that 'most rock videos do not aspire to tell stories with beginnings, middles and ends, but instead impart meaning through visual collage. What makes a video memorable is not what happens but what it looks like. No attempt is made to convey a reality. instead videos are liberated into a timeless dreamworld'.

Its from this discovery/research that we decided to have less of a narrative within our video, to abandon creating a sense of reality and instead creating a collage of events through different visual settings and themes.

We decided to base the video around the themes that we felt the lyrics suggested. Particularly, the feeling of giving up, abandonment, frustration and hatred for society and its disappointments.

We decided on locations, such as London, the underground, train stations, streets. We also decided on more abstract settings like, a plain white room, and an outside living room setting. We felt this sort of mise en scene, would steer us away from typical narrative conventions.
We still decided to keep the idea of having a main female character throughout the whole of the film.
